New research from Assistant Professor Allison Master found that students don鈥檛 view all STEM subjects alike. Boys and girls generally believe that engineering and computer science are professions for males, while the tide has changed some for math and science 鈥� with girls slightly favored or equal.

Allison Master, an assistant professor in the Department of Psychological, Health and Learning Sciences at the UH College of Education, has earned the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the U.S. government鈥檚 highest honor of its kind.

Mikel Cole, a professor of bilingual/ESL education, planned to work with doctoral students at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University to improve their research and media literacy skills. 鈥淭his feels like such a gift,鈥� he said of the Fulbright award. Cole follows three other College faculty Fulbright participants.
