Ron E. Jackson holds roles as president, chief executive officer and owner Meadowbrook Golf, International Gold Maintenance and Golf Ventures. Meadowbrook Golf owns and manages 68 golf properties throughout the US and Caribbean from private to semi-private clubs. International Golf Maintenance maintains 28 properties in the United States. Golf Ventures is a turf supply company, which services 400 courses in Florida and neighboring states, in addition to hotels and golf resorts in the Caribbean. Golf Ventures is also the largest Caribbean Turf Company.
Jackson is also the tournament director and host of the Father-Son Challenge on NBC at Champions Gate, one of the courses he built, for six years. Since 2001, he has completed successful openings on a number of courses and clubhouses throughout the US.
Jackson has also served on the Pebblebrook Hospitality trust board, as one of six trustees, since the successful completion of the REIT’s IPO in 2009. Pebblebrook’s 46 owned boutique hotels include five in Los Angeles (W. Beverly Hills, Mondrian – Sunset Strip, etc.) and five in San Francisco (Argonaut, One Hotel – Fisherman’s Wharf, etc.). Jackson is also the chairman of Pebblebrook’s Compensation Committee of the Billion Dollar Company.
Prior to joining Meadowbrook Golf in January 2001, Jackson was the chief operating officer of Chartwell Leisure, a New York hotel owner, operator and developer, with 139 properties in the US, Canada and Mexico. Following Chartwell Leisure, Jackson was the president and chief operating officer of Resort Condominiums International (RCI), a Cendant Company with 2,600 resorts in 109 countries.
Jackson was also the founder, president and chief executive officer of Sunbelt Hotels and Sunbelt Hotel Management Company, which was the largest franchisee of Hilton Hotels in the US, for nine years. Jackson developed Hilton properties from the ground up, such as the Hilton Houston Hobby Airport, Hilton College Station, Hilton Beaumont, Hilton Wichita Falls and many more. In addition, Sunbelt Hotels managed many more brands, such as Sheraton and Marriott.
Jackson is a member of the Hilton College Dean’s Advisory Board. He was one of the first two board members when Dr. Jim Taylor, the original Dean of the College, organized the board, 38 years ago. Jackson has served with every Dean that Hilton College has had in place since inception.
Jackson received a bachelor of science in finance and marketing from Brigham Young University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Utah/Stanford University.
